About Us

Who We Are
Road Safety Concern Uganda is a dedicated initiative committed to reducing road traffic accidents, deaths, and injuries across Uganda. Through a multifaceted approach that includes advocacy, education, research, and collaboration, we strive to create a safer environment for all road users. Our work is guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 and SDG 11, which focus on health, well-being, and sustainable cities and communities.
Our Mission
To equip Ugandans with the knowledge and skills to safely navigate the nation’s roads, ultimately reducing the number of road traffic fatalities and injuries.

Our Vision
A Uganda free from road traffic fatalities and injuries, where every journey is safe, and every road user is responsible.
Why Road Safety Matters
- High Fatality Rate: Uganda faces a significant road safety challenge, with 28.9% of the population per 100,000 experiencing road traffic incident deaths.
- Rising Accidents: In February 2024 alone, 432 accidents were recorded, resulting in 100 deaths and 324 injuries.
- Impact on the Youth: A large portion of those affected by road accidents are young people, impacting the nation’s future growth and development.
